Perfect for Kids’ First Snow Experience – A Family-Friendly Kids Zone

If you’re visiting with family, the Family Snow Area “YUKINOS” is highly recommended.
This area is larger than a soccer field and filled with fun snow activities. One highlight is the new snow tubing zone, where riders sit in large inflatable tubes and slide down a specially designed slope. The newly introduced tubing course stretches 50 meters, offering an exhilarating ride.
Other attractions include:
- Sledding areas
- Snow Strider experiences, allowing even small children to try winter sports easily
- Snow play areas for building snowmen
- Playground equipment such as swings and slides
Families can enjoy a full day of winter fun together.
You can also rent or purchase winter gear and accessories on site, making it easy for beginners to get started. Recommended items from the staff are listed on the official website.
A Freeride Park for Everyone from Beginners to Experts

Takasu Snow Park features a freeride park packed with exciting features such as waves, mini kickers, and other creative obstacles along a lift-accessible course.
Visitors can enjoy snow sports disciplines featured in the Winter Olympics, including:
- Terrain parks
- Halfpipes
- Snowboard cross
The halfpipe is maintained by a professional team of operators and diggers. The resort offers a world-class super pipecreated using high-performance machines, as well as a regular pipe designed for beginners. Professional snowboarders who compete in international events sometimes visit the park to train.
Another highlight is the “MIXED UP BANKS” area, a unique park combining banked turns with kickers. The jumps are designed by professionals to ensure both safety and excitement.
The cross course “THE WAVEX” is designed to be accessible even for beginners while still offering fun for advanced riders. Since it connects to the main park area from the upper beginner course, experienced riders can also enjoy it easily.
Enjoy Delicious “Slope Dining” at Restaurants and Cafés

One of the pleasures of visiting Takasu Snow Park is enjoying meals at the slope-side restaurants, often called “gelande shokudo.” Many ski resorts now take pride in their food, and tasting regional specialties has become part of the experience.
Two recommended dining spots are:
Restaurant Monte Rosa
Located on the 2nd floor of the Center House, this massive restaurant seats up to 2,000 guests. It offers a wide range of menu options including classic ski resort favorites such as curry, ramen, and rice bowls, as well as Western dishes, Chinese cuisine, and local comfort foods.

TAKASU TERRACE
Located right outside the gondola summit station, this café offers breathtaking panoramic views and sometimes even a sea of clouds.
The interior features a variety of seating styles, including counter seats, tables, bench seating, and sofas, allowing visitors to relax in different atmospheres.
The café also serves visually appealing gourmet items such as:
- Beach Burger, made with a Hida beef patty supervised by a local company
- Original drinks made with local Hirugano milk
It’s the perfect place to enjoy a memorable lunch with spectacular views or to take a relaxing break during your day on the slopes.
