Keep an eye out for the new specialty! Affordable lunches featuring plenty of Ise-Shima ingredients

桂風手こね寿司

Various lunch options are available during the daytime, allowing you to fully enjoy the bounty of the sea. The Katsura-style Tekone Sushi (1,750 yen), made with tuna and sea bream, is a popular local dish in Ise-Shima that features a special soy sauce that enhances the flavor of the tuna. The dish is prepared by simmering soy sauce with ginger and sugar, which is then cooled and used to marinate the fresh fish, bringing out its delicious flavor. The rice is sweet Iga rice from Mie Prefecture.

The Mike Don (1,850 yen) is a new specialty featuring Ise tuna from Mie, as well as sea bream, squid, and salmon sprinkled on top. This dish allows you to enjoy seasonal fish according to the time of year. “Mike” means “precious food,” and it was created to convey the importance of food and gratitude for it from the gods of the Outer Shrine, who are the gods of food. Only those dishes that meet various conditions, such as using Mie Prefecture rice and Ise-Shima ingredients, can be called Mike Don.

Kappo Sushi Katsura Geku’s Mike Don uses Ise rice (Koshihikari) from Mie Prefecture for the sushi rice, flavored with a special sushi vinegar that is infused with kelp flavor. Also, the luxurious Matsusaka Beef Nigiri Gozen (2,420 yen) set includes Matsusaka beef nigiri sushi and Matsusaka beef shigure roll. Enjoy a variety of lunches in a calm Japanese atmosphere, and spend a leisurely lunchtime with delicious Ise gourmet food.

Savor Matsusaka beef, Ise-ebi lobster, and seasonal ingredients to your heart’s content with the course dishes!

すきやきコース

There are also plenty of courses that allow you to enjoy Ise specialties and luxurious seasonal flavors! The Sukiyaki Course (5,500 yen), where you can taste dishes such as sashimi, sukiyaki, tekone-sushi, and shigure rolls, is a must try, with each dish carefully prepared, from the appetizer to the final dessert.

伊勢海老のお造り

The Ise-ebi lobster course, where you can enjoy Ise-ebi lobster sashimi, is also recommended. Additionally, there is an abundant à la carte menu to fully enjoy the delicious food of Ise-Shima! With the Ise-ebi Lobster Sashimi (5,500 yen and up), the lobster is taken live from the tank upon ordering and prepared as sashimi. You can taste its natural elasticity and sweetness, as well as the special lobster soup made from its head.

Also, don’t miss the fragrant Abalone Steak (3,900 yen and up) with butter soy sauce. The slowly simmered abalone, tenderized to perfection, is flavored with soy sauce and butter to lock in its deliciousness. The flavor of the ingredients spreads with each bite, and the rich aroma of butter and soy sauce stimulates your appetite.

Other dishes include the Matsusaka Beef Sukiyaki Gozen (3,080 yen), where the flavor of Matsusaka beef spreads through the sweet sukiyaki sauce, and the Matsusaka Beef Skewers (1,100 yen per skewer), recommended for those who want to enjoy just a little Matsusaka beef. The menu also offers dishes that you’ll want to savor with a drink in hand.
