With a history of over 120 years, “Omi-Kadoman,” a distinguished Omi beef specialty store, prides itself on its heritage as a specialist, sourcing only the finest Omi beef.
We offer five types of dishes: sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, steak, grilled meat, and stone-grilled, all served in a style that allows our customers to cook the premium meat themselves, making it as affordable as possible. Each cut is carefully selected to ensure freshness and suitability for each dish. Particularly in our course meals, we use the top-grade A5 rank parts of Omi beef, known for their marbled sweetness and flavor, allowing you to fully enjoy the melt-in-your-mouth sweetness and tender texture that is one of Omi-Kadoman’s special commitments.
To let as many people as possible savor the essence of Omi beef’s flavor, cultivated over a long history, we do not limit our suppliers. Instead, we personally visit farms to select and scrutinize the best Omi beef available at any given time, with professionals of Omi beef meticulously preparing the cuts of beef.

At “Omi-Kadoman,” you can enjoy the various charms of Omi beef, such as sukiyaki cooked in a sweet and mellow broth, and shabu-shabu that can be enjoyed lightly with vegetables.
Furthermore, to maximally draw out the flavor of Omi beef, we pay special attention to seasoning. The sauce used in each dish incorporates the ‘secret ponzu’ that has been carefully passed down since the opening. This deep soy sauce flavor envelops the sweetness of Omi beef, creating a smooth taste. Along with this ponzu, special sauces and seasonings are tailored for each dish.


For steak, we prepare a sauce that combines the secret ponzu with ketchup, Tabasco, and sliced lemon, offering a refreshing taste with a well-balanced acidity. The sweetness of the ketchup and the spicy kick of the Tabasco also add an accent. For sukiyaki, we provide raw eggs with rich, reddish yolks as a unique feature. Pouring the remaining egg over rice is also a final pleasure to enjoy. For shabu-shabu, based on the secret ponzu, we mix in vegetables and white miso, creating a refreshing acidity and spreading the sesame flavor in your mouth. For grilled meat and stone-grilled dishes, the secret ponzu is mixed with green onions and chili pepper, giving it a distinctively refreshing taste.

The interior, adorned with abundant solid wood, creates a premium space that is calm and serene, offering an adult atmosphere where you can luxuriously relax with someone special or your beloved family. To cater to the needs of our guests, we provide various types of rooms.


The semi-private rooms on the second floor accommodate 58 seats, with latticed doors creating a tranquil space. The private rooms on the third floor offer an even more exclusive experience, requiring advance reservations and are themed around Lake Biwa, which is near “Kadoman.” The modern space where guests can relax and enjoy their meals is also part of its charm. Furthermore, we welcome reservations for year-end parties, New Year’s parties, welcome and farewell parties, wrap-up parties, and other banquet events in the third-floor private rooms. Enjoy Omi beef at home through our butcher shop and online store!

To ensure you can enjoy the taste of “Omi-Kadoman,” an Omi beef specialty store, at home, a butcher shop is available on the first floor. Also, with the option to purchase through our online shop, even those who cannot visit us due to distance can still enjoy the Omi beef from “Omi-Kadowan.”
The Omi beef available for sale at our butcher shop and official online shop comes in four types: for grilling, for steak, for sukiyaki, and for shabu-shabu.
For grilling, we offer prime cuts of loin and fillet, as well as top-quality thigh and rib meats, allowing you to enjoy a little luxury at home. For steak, we provide selected Omi beef fillet and loin. The selected Omi beef fillet is low in fat, extremely tender, and its flavor, stickiness, and sweetness are intensely concentrated. Meanwhile, the selected Omi beef loin features finely textured, sweet, and richly marbled meat, offering the best in flavor, tenderness, and taste. For sukiyaki, we offer prime cuts of loin and thigh meats. The selected Omi beef loin is a premium meat with well-distributed marbling. The Omi beef thigh meat is recommended for those who prefer less fat or for women. Please enjoy the melting taste of Omi beef. For shabu-shabu, prime cuts of loin and thigh meats are available. Enjoy them with your favorite vegetables, ponzu sauce, or sesame sauce.
