Enjoy Flower Viewing Throughout the Seasons!

The park is home to numerous flower gardens, including the Central Garden, Blumen Garden, West Garden, Animal Garden, and Welcome Garden. With over 1.5 million flowers blooming annually, including tulips, sunflowers, and cosmos, the park offers a vibrant display of flowers throughout the seasons.
In spring, tulips, roses, nemophila, cherry blossoms, and rapeseed flowers bloom. Especially noteworthy is the nemophila field, which spreads a refreshing blue color across the landscape, creating a breathtaking sight.

In summer, yellow cosmos, Titan hibiscus, sunflowers, and hydrangeas flourish. This year, an estimated 300,000 sunflowers are expected to bloom.
In autumn, cosmos flowers sway gently in the autumn breeze, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere.
In winter, pansies and violas, which are members of the violet family, bloom neatly and can be enjoyed until spring.
Experience the changing seasons and enjoy the various flowers at Blumen Hill.
Interact with Many Animals at the “Animal Interaction Plaza”

The park is home to over 100 adorable animals of 16 different species, including familiar animals like horses, sheep, goats, and rabbits, as well as emus and kangaroos. Recently, new animals such as maras, peacocks, chickens, budgerigars, and cows have joined the park.

At the Animal Interaction Plaza, visitors can feed sheep, goats, ponies, and horses, and interact with alpacas and kangaroos. The popular small animal interaction corner allows visitors to cuddle fluffy guinea pigs. Through these interactions, visitors can feel the warmth of the animals and understand the importance of life.

Blumen Hill is a dog-friendly park, allowing visitors to enjoy the park with their dogs. A free dog run is available, with separate areas for medium to large dogs, small dogs, and all breeds, as well as Shiga’s largest dog pool (summer only). With plenty of facilities, dogs can play to their heart’s content in the spacious park. You can also enjoy meals with your dog, so check the official website for more details.
Experience Nature with the “Nature Experience Learning Program”

The park offers agricultural experiences where visitors can harvest onions, shiitake mushrooms, summer vegetables, blueberries, and potatoes. By touching the soil and working up a sweat, visitors can learn many things they wouldn’t know without experiencing them firsthand.
Other activities include tulip bulb digging, cosmos and sunflower picking, as well as traditional Japanese experiences like ayu fish catching and nagashi-somen (flowing somen noodles). Unique experiences like hop harvesting, used in beer production, are also available.

Some activities allow for on-the-spot tasting and drinking, and you can take home bouquets from the flower-picking experience. Listen to the staff’s stories, enjoy agricultural experiences, flower picking, and learn the importance of being in nature. Check the official website for details on experience dates and more.
Enjoy Various Activities and Play All Day Long!

The park offers various activities and playground facilities for both children and adults to enjoy to their heart’s content.
One of the highly recommended activities is the “Alps Gym,” a gigantic 17-meter high athletic course, the largest in western Japan! With 72 different attractions, including professional-grade bouldering and a bicycle balance beam challenge, you can freely choose and enjoy various climbing attractions without worrying about crowds. There is also a kid-friendly course with lower difficulty levels, allowing even small children to play safely. For those confident in their physical strength, why not take on the “72-Course Challenge Plan” and conquer all the courses?

For thrill-seekers, there are many activities such as the 215-meter outdoor aerial attraction “Forest Liner,” the steep “Buggy Car,” the monster-engine-powered “Buggy,” and the “Go-Kart” for parent-child fun. Exciting and wild experiences await you!

Starting July 2024, a new athletic facility “GO-EMON” will open. This high-difficulty athletic amusement park requires balancing skills and mental strength to clear. As the first of its kind in Japan, GO-EMON is composed entirely of high-difficulty attractions.

For those who prefer a more leisurely activity, there are various attractions for all ages, such as the “Aqua Tube” water play equipment and “Big Playland,” one of Japan’s largest inflatable playgrounds. Additionally, younger children can safely enjoy the “Fluffy Animal” and “Fluffy Dinosaur” inflatable play areas, as well as the “Funny Bicycles” collection. You can also relax and take in the park’s scenery with attractions like the “Foot-Paddle Boat,” “SL Dunplop Train,” and “Choo Choo Train,” perfect for couples and families!
